Welcome to the AgriVoltaics Industry Forum Europe 2026 in Bordeaux! This year's conference brings together the agricultural and energy sectors to explore the most relevant developments, challenges and opportunities shaping the future of agrivoltaics. Across a diverse program of presentations, discussions and technical tours, participants will gain valuable insights to support their current and future projects. To set the stage, the Opening Session brings together key stakeholders from politics, agriculture and the solar industry to share their perspectives on the current landscape, the opportunities ahead and the challenges that remain. By exploring the topic from multiple angles, this discussion provides a 360° view on agrivoltaics and highlights the expectations, priorities and ambitions that will shape the conversations throughout the conference.

This session brings farmers’ perspectives into focus, highlighting their experiences and expectations around agrivoltaics.
It will explore how agrivoltaic systems can create value for agriculture, considering both opportunities and challenges from a practical point of view. Discussions will touch on economic aspects, broader benefits, and the realities of implementation across different contexts. The session also aims to reflect the diversity of viewpoints within the agricultural sector and encourage an open exchange between farmers and industry stakeholders.

This interactive policy session will explore the evolving policy and regulatory landscape for AgriVoltaics across Europe, focusing on how national frameworks enable the dual use of land for agriculture and renewable energy generation. The session will begin with a short speaker round, where each country representative will share key insights and developments from their national market. Participants will then move into rotating country tables, where they can engage directly with experts, compare national approaches, and explore practical experiences from across Europe. Through these discussions, participants will identify best practices, examine remaining barriers, and exchange ideas on the policy and regulatory measures needed to accelerate AgriVoltaics deployment across Europe.

This session will examine the financial foundations of agrivoltaics and the business models that can support long-term market growth. It will look at how projects can become economically viable in different national contexts, taking into account varying levels of policy support, market conditions and revenue structures.
The discussion will cover perspectives from project developers, investors and financial institutions, as well as the question of how agrivoltaics can create a convincing business case for agriculture. By bringing together practical project experience and financing perspectives, the session aims to highlight what is needed to move agrivoltaics from promising concept to bankable and scalable business model.

This session explores how advanced monitoring, simulation and operational experience can improve the performance and understanding of agrivoltaic systems. Presentations will cover agricultural forecasting and monitoring approaches, including the use of very high-resolution satellite remote sensing for quantitative crop assessment in AgriPV applications.

The session will also provide practical insights from farmers on machinery optimization and day-to-day operation within agrivoltaic environments. By combining digital monitoring tools with field experience, the discussion will highlight how data-driven decision-making and operational best practices can support productive, efficient and farmer-friendly AgriPV systems.

This session focuses on innovative approaches to energy management and automation in modern agricultural systems. Speakers will explore business models combining agrivoltaics and battery energy storage systems (BESS), as well as holistic energy planning strategies that help farms optimize energy production, consumption and resilience.

Practical insights will be provided through an integrated farm case study showcasing the combination of agrivoltaics, power management and robotics. The session will also examine the emerging role of humanoid robotics in agricultural operations and agrivoltaics environments. Together, the presentations will highlight how intelligent energy systems and advanced automation can enhance efficiency, flexibility and long-term sustainability in farming.
